I am a bicultural, bilingual counselor who combines psychotherapy with holistic practices to provide personalized treatment interventions to clients. I have 2 years of experience seeing clients from multiple communities, including teenagers, immigrants, couples, and emerging adults. I employ a client centered, integrative approach, that combines aspects from various techniques and theories, including CBT, ACT, Narrative therapy, and Family Systems therapy. I have also done extensive research on identity, modern dating and family structures, emerging adult issues, and trauma. I have a background in music, and can implement aspects of art, game, and music therapy whenever effective. I am also an advocate for mental health awareness, POC and LGBTQ rights. The client is always my priority, and my goal is to provide them with effective psychoeducation and treatment that promotes their overall wellness. I conceptualize the therapeutic relationship as a professional helping relationship where the therapist and client work together to identify issues, assess risks and opportunities, learn new skills and coping mechanisms, develop a stronger sense of self, and work towards specific goals to improve overall wellness. Whether it's mood disorders, anxiety, or sociocultural and identity issues, I prioritize creating a comprehensive, personal treatment plan for my clients to help them address all their issues, work on reaching all their goals, and learn new information and skills that will assist them for the rest of their lives. My holistic and integrative approach to therapy includes utilizing the biopsychosocial model to understand how each aspect of my client’s life contributes potentially to their symptoms and concerns. Clients can expect to receive personalized treatment in a non-judgmental space, and develop a greater sense of self-confidence, and a more comprehensive understanding of their own values, goals, and overall mental health wellness.
