Getting to know Laina
Laina is a Brooklynite who is passionate about serving local and extended communities. Her goal as a counselor is to provide her clients with a safe therapeutic space to process, heal, and overcome challenges of all sizes. She works diligently to ensure her services are warm and welcoming to all who bravely venture through the journey of self-work. She is currently a member of the American Counseling Association and prioritizes continuing education to ensure she remains up to date on all psychotherapeutic developments to be the best resource for her clients. As a yoga instructor (RYT-200), Laina is deeply interested in the somatic-healing potential of the human body. Laina utilizes mindfulness techniques such as breathwork and guided meditations for those who may find such practices beneficial. Laina has a holistic, client-centered approach to therapy with an emphasis in existentialism, however, her objective is to serve the client using whichever mode of healing resonates best. She aims to be a culturally sensitive provider who meets clients where they are, allowing for self-paced growth.
