Getting to know Glenmarie Lim
In her therapy approach, Glenmarie views it as more than just coping with challenges. She believes that therapy serves as a medium to explore emotions and foster self-awareness to unlock her client’s hidden strengths and untapped potential. She acknowledges that societal pressures and unrealistic beliefs often lead to distorted self-perceptions and emotional suppression. Therefore, Glenmarie’s goal is to guide her clients in challenging these false narratives, ultimately fostering self-acceptance and embracing their authentic selves. She deeply respects each client’s unique identity and background, which leads her in utilizing a collaborative, integrative approach to tailor therapy to her client’s specific needs and goals. She primarily utilizes therapeutic methods such as Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In addition to this core therapeutic approaches, she offers alternative methods such as Art Therapy, Game Therapy, and Mindfulness practices for clients interested in exploring diverse forms of self-expression.
