Getting to know Summer

Starting therapy can be scary and overwhelming, but I am here to guide you through. I believe therapy is a container to hold and create space for self-discovery and acceptance, where individuals can break free from societal expectations to reconnect with their authentic selves and others. Together, we will embark on a healing journey for you to embrace vulnerability and live life to the fullest potential. As a therapist, I strive to create a safe and brave space where my clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My approach to therapy is person-centered, relational, and integrative, meaning that I work alongside my clients to identify their goals, build upon their strengths, and develop skills to overcome challenges. I draw from various therapeutic modalities, such as Psychodynamic, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based techniques. I am also bilingual in English and Chinese Mandarin and can offer services in both languages.
